The outline for the Facebook inbox formula is very simple.

You open with a friendly message and then on the second message highlight specifically what you do in a cool sounding way and you'll see if what you have would be valuable to them... that's it.
Because your profile is branded as a leader & expert in your niche and you're adding targeted people as friends, a high percentage of them probably would be open to at least taking a look at what you have because they feel like you can genuinely help them reach their desired goals.

Let's take sending out 100 messages for example...

40 people out of the 100 might be happy with wherever they are in life.
30 people out of the 100 might get busy mid conversation & you won't finish talking.
20 people out of the 100 might have a weird vibe/bad mood & you just move on.
10 people out of the 100 are interested in they become a lead & potential sale.
When you think about it, it's simply a conversational sales funnel that quickly and effortlessly determines if the person you're speaking with is a potential fit for what you have to offer or not.
The more people you run through the script the more money you make. A person messaging 100+ people per day and running them through the script is going to make way more money than someone only messaging 100 people per week.

Message 1: (Send something like this when you first make contact)
Hey NAME, It's good to be connected with you.. tell me a bit about what you do perhaps we can help each other!
Message 2: Oh okay nice, That's awesome! Personally I've been XYZ, would that be of value to you?
Where the message says XYZ you want to craft what's referred to as an 'elevator pitch'. An elevator pitch basically means a few sentences that sound interesting enough to peak a person's curiosity to want to learn more about what you offer.
For example if you were in the weight loss niche you could say something like:
"Oh okay nice, That's awesome! Personally I've been teaching people exactly how to lose up to 5-10 pounds per month without needing to stick to a super strict diet or work out all the time, would that be of value to you?"
If you were in the make money online niche you could say something like:
"Oh okay nice that's awesome... Personally I've been teaching people exactly how to make $100-$500 daily while only working 1-2 hours per day, would that be of value to you?"
The person is either going to say yes or no.
If no, simply move on.
If yes, send them to your company or offer's website by saying something like:
Message 3: Okay awesome, Check out my website for more info and let me know when you sign up so I can help you get started making money ASAP!: www.YOURLINK.com

Also be sure to change it  up a little bit, More so on how you would talk to people. You don't want them to know that this is a script.

For example: I would personally say this, Hey what's up NAME it's good to be connected with you. What exactly do you do by the way? Maybe we can help each other out, Hit me back whenever you get a chance.

BONUS TIPS:

If you're not getting a lot of people saying 'yes' and wanting to check out the info then that could mean a couple different things...
1. Your profile isn't branded well enough. If you don't look like a leader or expert in your niche then the person isn't going to actually think you can help them out. People want to align with experts not amateurs.
2. You're adding the wrong people. You may want to re-evaluate who you're adding and make sure the people you're sending friend requests to have the highest likelihood of wanting what you're promoting. The more relevant your offer is to the person the more they'll be open to checking out the info.
3. Your elevator pitch doesn't invoke enough curiosity or doesn't sound good enough. You may want to play around with the words and craft a better elevator pitch. The second message is essentially a text advertisement displayed in a conversational way. So if it isn't working then craft a better sounding one.
4. Remember, the more people you run this through... the more money you'll make.
5. I generally send out all messages from my mobile device because there's less restrictions.
